A total of 580 grape vines were planted in April 2018 in two vineyards behind Timbers and the Terrace Patio. Grape varietals include Marquette – a hybrid of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir – and a Chardonnay hybrid. The first harvest and private label wines are expected in 2020.

In April, 2018, the Heritage Vineyard winery became a reality. Located directly behind our Timbers Room and Terrace Patio, 2 vineyard sites were established to maximize growing potential leading to crisp, flavorful grapes. A total of 580 vines were planted and carefully nurtured through their first year. Grape varieties include Marquette – a hybrid of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir as well as a Chardonnay hybrid; both from the University of Michigan.

The 8,000 square foot world class Athletic Center features indoor and outdoor heated salt water swimming pools, hot tub, steam room, sauna, men’s and ladies’ locker rooms with showers, plus state-of-the-art strength and core and cardio equipment. The professional staff offer personal training, group exercise classes, yoga and aqua classes, high intensity training, Zumba and a program personally developed by the Athletic Club Director and known as “Yoqua” (an aqua class that incorporates weights, high intensity and yoga). There are pedal bikes for rentals and miles of hiking and biking trails immediately around the hotel. Annual, seasonal and monthly membership programs are available.
